Chelsea star Victor Moses has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Barcelona as his impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
After being sent out on various loan spells to the likes of Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, the 25-year-old has been rejuvenated under Antonio Conte.
Having established himself in the Italian’s 3-4-3 system as a right wing-back, Moses has found a role for himself at Stamford Bridge and things are finally looking positive for his Chelsea career.
However, according to Sport, Barca are keen on signing him as a way of solving their own on-going problems at right back.
Branislav Ivanovic has also been linked with a move to the Catalan giants this week, with Luis Enrique exploring his options as he looks to find a reliable replacement for Dani Alves after the Brazilian stalwart left the club to join Juventus this past summer.
Nevertheless, it’s still a surprise to see Moses linked with a move to the Nou Camp regardless of his form this season, and Conte will have no interest in allowing him to leave for Spain given how important he has become to the tactical set-up in west London.
Since switching to the much-talked about 3-4-3, Chelsea have won six consecutive Premier League games and haven’t conceding a single goal in that run while climbing to the top of the Premier League table.
Whether or not a move to Barcelona interests Moses remains to be seen, but having now finally broken into the plans at Chelsea, it would certainly be a strange move to now consider an exit when things are going well under Conte.
