Chelsea transfer news: Conte plots two-man Serie A raid to follow up €25m summer signing

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly planning a raid of Fiorentina as he looks to sign duo Federico Bernadeschi and Milan Badelj.

The Italian tactician moved to sign Marcos Alonso in a €25m deal in the summer transfer window, as noted by Calciomercato, and it has turned out to be a successful move.

With the Spaniard fitting into the 3-4-3 system well which has proven to be so efficient in recent weeks, the report claims that Conte is ready to revisit Florence and target two key members of Paulo Sousa’s squad.

It’s noted that the Viola have no desire to sell Badelj, but Chelsea are capable of making a bid that will test their resolve and make them consider a possible sale.

Meanwhile, Conte is also a big fan of Bernardeschi, as shown in his decision to call up the 22-year-old to his squad for Euro 2016 this past summer.

Both players would be quality additions to the Chelsea squad, but it remains to be seen whether or not Fiorentina are open to the possibility of discussing a deal with Juan Cuadrado potentially set to be used as a bargaining chip, as noted by Calciomercato.

Chelsea have won their last six consecutive Premier League games without conceding a single goal and in turn have marched up the table to top spot.

However, Conte will want to maintain their momentum by continuing to strengthen his squad in January where possible, and it appears as though he could be ready to continue his shopping in Italy with Bernardeschi and Badelj on the agenda.
