Islam Slimani scored a 94th minute penalty today to save Leicester from the embarrassment of being defeated at home by newly-promoted Middlesbrough.
Leicester’s Premier League title-defence is effectively over before it even began after a disappointing start to the season. It could have got a lot worse today after an Alvaro Negredo brace looked to have secured all three points for the visitors.
The Foxes were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time, and Slimani made no mistake. It was more dropped points for Claudio Ranieri’s side, though.
