(Gallery): Kaka and Frank Lampard lead Steven Gerrard Instagram tributes

In the 48 hours since Steven Gerrard retired the internet has been awash with tributes for the legendary Liverpool captain. Both ex teammates and rivals pulled out their favourite photo of them with the midfielder in tribute to the great man.

The vast majority of the tributes came on Instagram, and you can see a selection of the images chosen by former teammates of Stevie G below.

Gutted we won't see @stevengerrard again on the pitch, one of the greats of any era. I'm sure he'll get to the top in whatever field he chooses but now is the time to relax & enjoy himself before his next move ????
