Liverpool ace subject of shock £40m bid from French giants with staggering £200,000-a-week offer

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to make a £40m offer to try and prise Adam Lallana away from Liverpool with a monster wage packet on the table too.

The 28-year-old has been in great form so far this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 11 Premier League appearances as he has established himself as a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Currently sidelined through injury, his absence has been an issue for the Reds who will hope to have him back as soon as possible.

According to The Sun though, PSG are ready to test their resolve by making a big-money offer and will triple Lallana’s current wages by offering him a £200,000-a-week contract.

“Adam is seen as a player of real quality in the Premier League,” a PSG insider is quoted as saying in the report as it appears as though the England international has certainly caught their attention.

In turn, Liverpool may well have a fight on their hands to keep him at Anfield next year, and given how he has improved under Klopp, it would be a major blow to see him leave the club any time soon.

It will undoubtedly be difficult for Liverpool to turn down a £40m bid for him, while an opportunity to earn significantly more and compete for trophies on a yearly basis could be tempting for Lallana.

However, it’s still difficult to see the move happening as ultimately Klopp is building something special on Merseyside and the former Southampton man will surely want to continue to be an integral part of it and help them towards winning silverware regardless of the money on offer.
