Liverpool prepare for Jurgen Klopp battle as European giants want German tactician

Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a move for Jurgen Klopp as current boss Carlo Ancelotti continues to experience a tough start to life in Bavaria.

The Italian hasn’t had things all his way since moving to Germany, with RB Leipzig currently three points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table while Bayern also slipped to a shock 3-2 defeat to FC Rostov in the Champions League in midweek.

Their indifferent form in Europe means that Atletico Madrid will top their group and so the pressure is already on Ancelotti after he replaced Pep Guardiola this past summer.

According to The Mirror, with Ancelotti’s methods failing to bring immediate results and with a coach who can bring through young talent required to rebuild an ageing Bayern squad, Klopp has been mentioned as the perfect candidate for the job.

After a successful spell with Borussia Dortmund, the 49-year-old has made an excellent start to this season with Liverpool as he looks to build on the early success that he enjoyed at Anfield last year.

While there is no suggestion that Klopp would consider an exit from Liverpool at this early stage having been in charge for just 13 months, a move to Bayern could be one of those job opportunities that he would struggle to turn down.

A chance to manage one of the biggest clubs in world football and one that he’ll know very well will be difficult to ignore for the German, but Klopp is evidently building something special at Liverpool and most people will believe that he wants to see it through.

However, should Bayern decide to sack Ancelotti, then it will only lead to further speculation and Liverpool’s resolve could potentially be tested as they anxiously prepare for the possibility of having to fend off interest from the Bavarian giants.
