Manchester United have been linked with a move for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj.
The Daily Star claim that the Red Devils want to improve their defensive options with a January move for the highly rated Albanian. Tough in the tackle and quick across the ground, the 22 year old is a tempting prospect.
Last weekend United fielded a back four of Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian. They performed well against a feeble Arsenal side, but it’s not the kind of superstar defensive setup that Jose Mourinho will likely be happy working with. It’s no surprise to see the Old Trafford club linked with reinforcements at the back.
Hysaj only joined Napoli at the start of last season, but has impressed significantly in the south of Italy following his £5m move. He has made ten starts in Serie A this term and featured in all three of Napoli’s Champions League games.
