Jose Mourinho hit with fine and touchline ban for waterbottle antics

Jose Mourinho has been hit with a £16,000 fine and a one-match touchline ban for kicking a water bottle during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham at the weekend, reveal the FA.

The FA note that Mourinho’s touchline antics amounted to improper conduct, and thus he has been sanctioned accordingly. The incident that has got the United boss into hot water was in the 27th minute of Sunday’s game. Mourinho kicked a water bottle in fury and stormed out of his technical area. He was subsequently sent to the stands.

It seems as though Mourinho is being hit with different charges relating to different incidents on a weekly basis. He appears to find difficulty in behaving himself for any sustained period of time.

United will be without their manager on the touchline for tonight’s EFL cup clash with West Ham. Their recent performances with Mourinho barking orders have been sub-par, perhaps we will soon discover if it is he that is holding them back.
