Tottenham striker Harry Kane has signed a new contract with the club that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2022.

The 23-year-old has rapidly become an integral part of Spurs’ plans for future success, with Mauricio Pochettino relying heavily on him to score the goals to fire his side closer to silverware.

Having ended last season with 28 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions, including 25 in the Premier League which earned him the Golden Boot, the England international has continued to develop into one of the top strikers in Europe.

However, with doubts continuing to be cast over his future as contract talks dragged on over a new deal, Kane revealed just how delighted he is to agree to new terms with the club.

“It’s amazing. Everyone knows how much I love this team and what I feel for this Club.”

It will be a huge boost for all concerned at the club to see Kane follow a long-list of first team stars put pen-to-paper on a new deal, as he commits his future to Tottenham and will hope to lead them to bigger improvements in the seasons ahead.

Kane has been sidelined due to injury for a large part of this campaign, but has already proven just how crucial he is to Spurs by taking his tally to six goals in 10 games so far this season.

With contract talks no longer a distraction, he’ll now hope to help them climb the Premier League table and get back into the top four and beyond.
