Nottingham Forest v Newcastle Live Stream – Watch Friday Night Clash from the City Ground

There’s a mouthwatering clash from the Championship tonight with Newcastle taking on Nottingham Forest live from the City Ground (KO 19:45).

It should be a cracking match to get involved  as well known firm Bet365 announce they have live feeds of the matches this season.

Championship leaders Newcastle United will be out to bounce back from their midweek league cup exit when they take on Nottingham Forest in a tasty looking encounter which kicks off an action packed weekend football coupon.

The Magpies went down 2-0 to Hull in the quarter-final, the defeat coming on the back of a 1-0 loss to Blackburn in the league last weekend.

Rafa Benitez will be keen to avoid a third straight loss especially after overseen a run of 9 straight wins prior to the Blackburn result.

Newcastle will be without Jack Colback and defender Grant Hanley with eye and shin injuries respectfully while Goalkeeper Rob Elliot is not yet ready for action despite resuming training following a knee injury.

Forest meanwhile will have striker Britt Assombalonga available again after recovering from a hamstring problem. The forward has scored 6 goals this season in just 4 starts and his return is a welcome boost for the club.

Despite just 338 minutes of action he is the club’s joint top scorer alongside Apostolos Vellios and Henri Lansbury. Forest will also be able to count on the services of Hildeberto Pereira with the Portuguese defender in line to start after serving a suspension.

Full-back Eric Lichaj remains a doubt with a calf injury. Forest have only won one of their last 11 league meetings with Newcastle. That success was in their last league meeting in 2010 in the Championship. Since then the two sides have met once with Newcastle running out 4-3 winners after extra-time in a league cup tie in 2011.

While Newcastle are riding high at the top, two points clear Forest sit in 17th place just four points clear of the relegation zone. However such is the competitive level of the Championship they sit just 7 points off sixth place Huddersfield.

A home win over Newcastle could move the club as high as 10th depending on the numbers of goals scored and Forest should be in good confidence following their thrashing of Barnsley last time out.

The 10/11 on the away win is sure to tempt punters as backing Newcastle has proved very profitable already this season.

Forest themselves are stringing a few good performances together and the 7/2 offered on the home win is sure to attract plenty of money considering Newcastle’s energy sapping match with Hull midweek, which went all the distance to extra time.

This one has all the potential to be a real belter between two sides with football history and genuine pedigree, and should get a busy weekend of football fixtures off to a flyer.
