Chelsea’s senior players are celebrating in the wake of another massive win over Premier League rivals yesterday, but the scouting department can’t rest in their search for the world’s brightest talents.
The latest player in their sights is 17 year old Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti, according to a report in today’s Daily Mirror.
The Italy U19 striker is one of the stars of the Inter youth academy, and his club are desperately trying to tie him down to a new, long term deal. Until the Italian club manage to get this in place however, Pinamonti is vulnerable to relatively small bids. The Mirror put the potential figure at just £400,000.
Bayer Leverkusen are named as one of Chelsea’s rivals in their pursuit of the striker, but the Blues would likely be able to outbid the German side in both transfer offer and contract terms. Juventus, another potential suitor, would be a much greater threat to Chelsea’s chances of getting the prodigy.
