Liverpool confirmed line-up vs Bournemouth: Klopp’s defence vulnerable while Origi starts

Liverpool will hope to keep the pressure on Chelsea by closing the gap at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Bournemouth on Sunday.

Antonio Conte’s side picked up a 3-1 win over Manchester City on Saturday to open up a four-point gap, but the Reds have the chance to make it just a solitary point again with all three points at the Vitality Stadium.

It won’t be easy against Eddie Howe’s men as they have shown as recently as last weekend that they are more than a match for the top teams after running Arsenal close.

However, Jurgen Klopp will hope that his side don’t encounter similar struggles, particularly with Lucas Leiva filling in at the heart of the Liverpool defence.

Philippe Coutinho is ruled out until mid-January after picking up a serious injury in the win over Sunderland last weekend, and so Divock Origi gets the start in the front three alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

As for Bournemouth, Jack Wilshere returns for the hosts after missing out last weekend due to being ineligible to face his parent club.

That will be a major boost for Howe as they missed his presence in midfield last time out, and Wilshere will certainly hope to do Arsenal a favour by dealing a blow to Liverpool’s title hopes.
