Man United attacker attracting attention from Real Madrid despite poor form

The signing of Anthony Martial for a huge transfer fee raised some eyebrows at the start of last season. The former Monaco man arrived as a last minute addition to Louis Van Gaal’s squad, and some critics branded him a panic buy. In fact he hit the ground running and was one of the bright spots of another drab season at Old Trafford.

Things haven’t worked out so well this term though, and Martial has been in and out of the team and not scoring for long stretches. The potential the Frenchman showed last year has kept big clubs interested however, and the Sun today report that even Real Madrid are waiting in the wings should United decide to cash in on their attacker.

Given that Martial cost an eye watering fee less than 18 months ago it would need to be a big big to prise him away from Manchester. But when Real Madrid want their man they tend to get him.
