Jose Mourinho’s decline shown in shock statistic as Manchester United’s troubles continue

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hasn’t made the impact expected at Old Trafford so far this season, and it’s a continuation of his problems at Chelsea.

The Red Devils have won just five of their 14 Premier League games so far this season, which in turn leaves them in sixth place in the table and nine points adrift of the top four.

Mourinho has struggled to get consistency from his team and the frustrating results have been piling up as they were held to a draw by Everton on Sunday in a game in which they should have held out and won.

As seen in the tweet from Squawka below, this is far from a new trend when it comes to the Portuguese tactician, as he has now collected just 36 points from his last 30 games in the Premier League.

That is a combination of the poor form that saw him dismissed at Chelsea last December and his disappointing start to life in Manchester.

While his supporters will try to look at circumstances at each club and defend him from blame and responsibility, his critics will use this as further fuel to argue that he is a manager in decline who has been surpassed by his rivals.

There is still a long way to go in the Premier League season and so Mourinho could easily turn the situation around into a positive one, but it isn’t looking good for United as they seem to have lost the winning habit and will only come under further pressure if they don’t sort things out quickly.
