Alexis Sanchez is entering the final 18 months of his Arsenal contract, and it appears to be alarming the Gunners.

And rightly so, the Chilean has scored 11 Premier League goals so far this campaign, a tally that can only be matched by Diego Costa. He has taken to playing upfront in Arsene Wenger’s rejigged system like a fish to water.

Arsenal, however, have a fight on their hands to keep him at the Emirates. The Daily Mail report that Sanchez is demanding a considerable pay rise to extend his contract with the North London cub. The Mail believe that he has an astronomical offer from China, believed to be worth £400,000-a-week, and is using it as leverage to get an improved deal with the Gunners.

The tabloid report that though Arsenal are unable to match what is being offered by Chinese sides, are are willing to make Sanchez the highest paid player in the clubs history. A deal may eventually be settled for £200k-a-week.
