Arsenal and bitter rivals Tottenham prepare for transfer war over 18-year-old starlet

Arsenal are reportedly set to go head-to-head with Tottenham Hotspur over the signing of Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic next year.

The highly-rated USA international has a contract that runs until 2019, and so is expected to continue his development with the Bundesliga outfit for the foreseeable future.

However, as reported by Calciomercato, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp isn’t the only man interested in prising him away from Germany, with Arsenal and Spurs also in the mix.

Dortmund have no interest in selling Pulisic either in January or next summer, but their stance may change if a bidding war is sparked by the Premier League trio who are all keen on signing him.

It’s added by Calciomercato that Liverpool are preparing to make a fresh bid for him in the January transfer window, but both Arsenal and Tottenham are also monitoring the situation and could make rival bids of their own to try and beat the Reds to it.

Pulisic has certainly gained a reputation as being one of the most promising players in Europe, as he has six assists and two goals in 15 games in all competitions for Thomas Tuchel’s side so far this season.

Further, he’ll likely be keen to continue to improve and mature with Dortmund before even considering an exit as he continues to enjoy more playing time now than he would perhaps secure with any of the interested parties.

Nevertheless, a move to the Premier League will be tempting for any player, and if the reports are to be believed, then he has a choice of three of the top clubs in England to consider in the coming months.
