Porto 5-0 Leicester City player ratings: Horror show for Ranieri as Foxes capitulate with 4/10 Hamer

Leicester City are having a miserable season in the Premier League, and unfortunately for the Foxes it carried over into Europe against Porto on Wednesday.

Claudio Ranieri’s side were thumped 5-0 by the Portuguese side who completely outplayed them and showed that any sign of weakness will be ruthlessly exploited in this competition.

Goals from Andre Silva (2), Jesus Corona, Yacine Brahimi and Diogo Jota did the damage as the Foxes will be left to assess a thoroughly miserable end to the group stage of the Champions League.

However, they can ill-afford to carry any sort of hangover into this weekend’s clash with Manchester City at the King Power Stadium as they sit just two points clear of the relegation zone after 14 games.

The one positive for Ranieri will be that his side have managed to qualify out of their Champions League group and can now focus on domestic matters for a month or two.

Nevertheless, that will mean little if the defending English champions are unable to pick up positive results as ultimately that is all that matters the deeper the trouble they fall into.
