Former Manchester United winger who broke the British transfer record unhappy after making £44.3M move to Ligue 1 giants

Former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria is unhappy at Ligue 1 giants PSG, according to RMC, as reported by GFFN.

GFFN report that RMC contacted a source within the Parc des Princes, who revealed that the Argentine is not settled at PSG: “He is often in a strop, he does not look happy, it is quite wearisome to see a player who is not making an effort to look happy in the changing room.”

The BBC reported at the time of the transfer that Manchester United received £44.3 million for Di Maria, the majority of the £59.7 million they reportedly signed him for just one year prior.

Di Maria, who at the time was the most expensive signing in the history of English football, struggled to find his best form at Old Trafford. He opted to leave in a bid to revive his career, and it was a move that paid off during his first campaign with the French champions.

This season, however, has been a different story. Di Maria has scored just once in 13 Ligue 1 appearances so far this campaign, after scoring ten in 29 games last time around.

PSG boss Unai Emery will no doubt be hoping that he can get Di Maria’s engines firing again, as his side sit third in the table behind Monaco and leaders Nice.
