Real Madrid star commits huge blunder in £60,000 burglary during Champions League game

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane had a night to forget on Wednesday as it all went a bit wrong both on and off the pitch.

The French international was unable to keep Borussia Dortmund at bay in the Champions League as the German outfit picked up a 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu and secured top spot in the group.

However, that wasn’t the end of his nightmare night as AS report that £60,000 worth of items including money, clothes, watches and jewellery were stolen from his house while he was playing for Los Blancos.

Unfortunately for Varane, that’s not even where the story ends as it’s claimed that he forgot to turn on his alarm system before leaving the house leaving him to kick himself over his lapse in concentration which has turned out to be a very costly one.

The report goes on to reveal that an Audi A4 was seen parked outside of his house and witnesses claim to have seen three or four people taking things out of the house and into the car.

Whether or not the perpetrators are caught remains to be seen, but this was undoubtedly a well-thought out robbery although they certainly got a helping hand from Varane himself.
