Tottenham braced for massive £50m offer from French giants for 20-year-old ace

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a £50m bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli next summer, with Real Madrid also keen.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed an impressive rise since joining Spurs from MK Dons in February 2015, as he has established himself as a fixture in Mauricio Pochettino’s side while breaking into the England set up.

In turn, it comes as no surprise that clubs from around Europe would be interested, but the £50m fee, as noted by The Mirror, will certainly come as a shock to most.

It’s claimed in the report that the Ligue 1 champions scouted him last season and have watched him again this year, which suggests that their interest in the England international is serious.

Further, Real Madrid are also paired with an interest and it remains to be seen whether or not the Spanish giants are prepared to rival PSG for Alli’s signature.

It’s added that the midfield ace signed a new deal with Tottenham earlier this season to increase his wages to £60,000-a-week, but PSG could easily match that and offer more in order to try and persuade him to leave White Hart Lane.

Given the progress that Spurs are making under Pochettino and having signed so many key players to new contracts in recent months, they’ve made it clear that they intend to move forward with the current nucleus and build on their recent successes.

However, PSG could make it very difficult with a big-money offer which would test their resolve and also Alli’s ambition as he would be turning down a lucrative and potentially highly-successful move to France.
