Jose Mourinho still exchanges text messages with Chelsea winger Eden Hazard a year after he was sacked by Roman Abramovich, according to ESPN.
ESPN report that Hazard, contrary to some reports, always maintained a positive relationship with Mourinho; even as The Special One’s time at Stamford Bridge approached it’s bitter end. They note that the pair still remain in touch with each other and often exchange text messages.
Mourinho oversaw what was the biggest dip in Hazard’s form of his career. The Belgian has been rejuvenated by the arrival of Antonio Conte at the Bridge, and showed Mourinho what he is missing out on during his side’s 4-0 demolition of Manchester United in October.
The 25-year-old has eight Premier League goals to his name already this campaign and is well on his way to beating his personal best single-season tally of 14. If he continues to play the way he is at the moment, Chelsea may well just win the title.
