Manchester United beat Tottenham 1-0 in their Super Sunday clash to keep their hopes of qualifying for European football alive.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s goal was enough to separate the sides in the end and ensure that Mourinho’s men took all three points. The Armenian international was played through on goal by Michael Carrick before firing past Hugo Lloris and into the back of the net.
Mkhitaryan has finally forced his way into Mourinho’s thinking and has been given a string of starts in recent weeks. His good form could well have been derailed, however, as he was stretchered off in the final minutes of the match. After a strong challenge from Danny Rose, Mkhitaryan appeared to roll his ankle and looked to be in a great deal of pain as he was taken off the field of play.

Man of the match – Paul Pogba: Pogba has been quietly excellent in recent weeks. His inflated price-tag has brought unrealistic expectations with him to Old Trafford, but he is beginning to justify the fee with his stellar performances.
