Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to pip Barcelona’s Lionel Messi to the Ballon d’Or 2016, with a leaked France Football cover revealing the result.
As seen in the tweet below, Ronaldo is celebrating what will be his fourth award with a headline that reads: “Cristiano Ronaldo crowned”.
Further, a quote from Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann accompanies it with the Frenchman set to finish in third place behind Ronaldo and Messi.

The award will officially be given out on Monday night, but it seems as though the results of the voting have already been released and preparations are being made to crown the latest winner.
After leading his side to another Champions League triumph back in May, the Portuguese international played his part in delivering his country’s first ever major trophy at Euro 2016.
In turn, it’s been another amazing year for the 31-year-old as he continues to break records and score countless goals to inspire both his club and country to further success.
However, he won’t be seen celebrating his latest award until it’s all official on Monday night with Messi and Griezmann set to accompany him on the podium after incredible years of their own.
