Liverpool looking to tie up deal for winger who Jurgen Klopp has watched “several times”

The Sun are claiming that Liverpool are interested in signing Anderlecht wide man Frank Acheampong, and that Jurgen Klopp has been to see the Ghanaian play “several times”.

The Anderlecht wide man, who can play as a winger or a full back, has drawn attention from the Premier League with some strong performances in the Jupiler League this term.

Interestingly, before joining the Belgian club he played in Thailand with Buriram United, who eventually sold him for under £1m. He is under contract till 2019.

Klopp is clearly not happy with his wide options, with neither Alberto Moreno nor James Milner looking like long term options at left back.

One potential stumbling block is his involvement at the Africa Cup of Nations next month. The Reds would do well to tie up a deal for the £6m rated wide man before the tournement in case he pushes his price up with some exceptional performances.
