Tottenham transfer news: Spurs linked with £60m creative pair, just as chief playmaker spectacularly ends slump

Spurs have lacked a creative spark for much of this season. They have failed to scored four times in 13 games since October and, until recently, the form of chief playmaker was a big concern.

However, Christian Eriksen – who bagged a brace in Wednesday night’s 3-0 win over Hull City – has finally found his mojo again. The Dane has bagged five goals in his last four Premier League matches, after failing to net in his first 11 this term.

Eriksen’s return to form may well be the answer to the Tottenham’s problems, but Spurs could also turn to the transfer market.

Judging by the latest Tottenham transfer news in the London Evening Standard and Squawka, manager Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to splash the cash.

Standard Sport report that Spurs have made an enquiry about Everton wizard Ross Barkley, who the source claims is on £65,000 a week and would cost at least £35m.

Meanwhile, Squawka say Tottenham are considering making a new bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in January, after failing with a £21m offer in the summer.

Squawka add that Zaha would cost Spurs £25m or more.
