Chelsea are about to receive a very healthy sum of money from China for Oscar,and the Blues aren’t going to sit on the cash.
The rumour mill is only just warming up over who it will be that they sign, with Atalanta’s Frank Kessie one of the hottest names.
The midfielder, described in the Sun as the “new Yaya Toure” has been the heartbeat of an overperforming Atalanta team that is just outside the Champions League places in Serie A.
He has an impressive 5 goals in 15 starts this term too, and it’s no surprise to see his powerful box to box running and goalscoring record compared with that of fellow Ivorian Toure.
There is no concrete evidence of Chelsea’s interest, but with the Stamford Bridge side in definite need of a replacement for Oscar this winter, this is unlikely to be the last midfielder we see linked to Antonio Conte’s side in the next few weeks.
