If Chelsea weren’t already keeping an eye on Nathan Ake’s progress at Bournemouth, then the youngster gave them another reason to on Sunday.
The 21-year-old has now scored three goals in his last six games for Eddie Howe’s side and continues to impress at the Vitality Stadium.
While Chelsea are doing pretty well without his services this season, it is certainly another boost for the club to see him continue to develop and improve with regular playing time.
In turn, he’ll hope to have a big future at Stamford Bridge, but for the moment he’ll be pushing to continue to play an important role for Bournemouth in the short-term and continue to impress.
The Dutchman has spent loan spells at Reading and Watford previously, but this is the most consistent he’s played and he’ll be delighted with how much of an influence he’s been able to have so far this season.
As a result, Antonio Conte will likely continue to monitor him between now and the end of the season with Ake doing a pretty good job of earning a place in the Chelsea squad next year.
