Antonio Conte hints that Chelsea may do business in the January transfer window despite 11 consecutive victories

Antonio Conte has hinted that Chelsea may do business in the January transfer window, report Yahoo Sports.

The Blues are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League after defeating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon. Diego Costa’s 13th goal of the season was enough to separate the two sides in the end and make it 11 consecutive victories for Conte’s men. During that period they have scored 25, conceded just two and kept nine clean sheets – but Conte feels as though he still needs more.

When quizzed by Yahoo Sports about the possibility of adding to his squad in the winter window, the Italian suggested that he has plans to do so: “I do not know what will happen in January but in this situation it is important to talk with my club. We have a fantastic relationship. I have my idea, but I prefer to discuss this with the club.”

Chelsea were busy in the summer, signing N’Golo Kante, Marcos Alonso and Michy Batshuayi as Roman Abramovich looked to save his side from mid-table mediocrity. That could well be just the beginning of his investment, as he looks to win his fifth Premier League title since buying the Blues.
