Manchester United were far from their best in the opening 45 minutes against Sunderland on Boxing Day, but they still managed to break the deadlock.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been in fine form so far this season with 11 goals in 16 Premier League appearances, but he turned provided this time round as he produced his first assist in the league to set up Daley Blind.
The former Swedish international has now been involved in 12 goals in 17 league games so far this season, as he continues to play a leading role in United’s revival.
However, Blind also deserves plenty of credit as he produced a composed finish to fire home the opening goal of the game and keep the Red Devils on track for their fourth consecutive league win.

Nevertheless, Mourinho won’t be entirely happy with what he saw from his players as they did struggle for the most part with Blind in particular finding life difficult.
The Dutchman was put under serious defensive pressure by Victor Anichebe throughout the opening half but eventually had the most telling contribution of the game so far.
