Chelsea boss Antonio Conte lines up double swoop for West Ham’s top goalscorer and dependable German international

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has lined up Michail Antonio and Jonas Hector as he looks to add quality in depth in the wing-back positions, according to the Times.

Since switching to a back three, the Blues have won 13 out of 14 Premier League games, conceding just six goals and keeping ten clean sheets in the process.

Both Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses have taken to their respective wing-back roles like a fish to water, but there if either sustain an injury or suspension, Chelsea’s options to fill-in are few.

As per the Times, Antonio is Conte’s number one target this transfer window, with Cologne’s Jonas Hector also being lined up for a potential move.

Antonio would give the Chelsea boss further options in reserve for Eden Hazard and Pedro in their forward line, as well as being well suited to a wing-back role. Hector would further reinforce their already near-impenetrable defensive line.

We are approaching the half way stage of the January transfer window, so Conte will have to move fast if he wants to secure his targets this month.
