AC Milan transfer news: Winger is priority admits Galliani, Juventus meet agent of club favourite as Arsenal ace on radar

AC Milan will be busy looking at ways to strengthen their squad over the next two transfer windows, and there’s plenty of speculation involving them.

Vincenzo Montella’s side are going well in their pursuit of a top-three finish in Serie A, and advanced to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Thursday night as they look to add their second piece of silverware to their trophy cabinet this season.

However, he still needs to improve his squad overall and as confirmed by Milan CEO Adriano Galliani on Thursday, a winger is the priority for the club.

“We have plenty of defenders, midfielders and strikers, so we are exclusively looking out for a wide attacker who can preferably play on the right or left,” he responded while also hinting that it would be Everton star Gerard Deulofeu who filled the void, as reported by Calciomercato.

“This player would allow Suso and [Giacomo] Bonaventura to get some rest occasionally.”

Elsewhere, The Daily Star claim that Milan could still be involved in the race to sign Jack Wilshere with doubts over his long-term future at Arsenal as contract negotiations are yet to get underway with the England international.

The midfielder is currently on a season-long loan at Bournemouth, and having impressed under Eddie Howe, it has led to interest from various clubs.

Milan were linked with a move for Wilshere last summer when he was considering his loan options, but it appears as though they might make a move for him on a permanent basis this summer.

In contrast, there is talk of one player leaving the club with Juventus director Beppe Marotta spotted talking to Mattia De Sciglio’s representatives.

As per Calciomercato, the pair met on Thursday which in turn has sparked further speculation of a possible move to Turin to reunite with former coach Massimiliano Allegri.

If true, it will be a real disappointment for Milan to not only lose a key part of their team and a player they’ve brought through the youth ranks, but also to lose him to a direct rival.
