Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly a target for Sevilla, with the La Liga outfit hopeful of signing him on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old hasn’t been used as heavily so far this season compared to last, with competition for places ensuring that he has had spells out of the team.
Nevertheless, he has still made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing two assists as he has emerged as Jose Mourinho’s impact player off the bench.
However, Sevilla are looking to test their resolve this month, as reported by The Sun, as they would like the England international on loan until the end of the season.
Nevertheless, it’s suggested that Mourinho wants to keep the youngster at his disposal rather than send him out to gain more regular playing time, as evidently the forward has a big role to play for the Red Devils between now and May.
Sevilla are going well so far this season as they sit in third place in the La Liga table, just four points adrift of league leaders Real Madrid.
In turn, they will naturally be looking at ways to strengthen in order to sustain their title push, but it doesn’t appear as though they will have much joy in their reported pursuit of Rashford who remains a threat in the final third whenever he’s involved and has a major future at the club after impressing in the early stages.
The teenager scored 13 goals in 35 games last season, and with United still competing on various fronts, he’ll hope he will continue to receive chances to play and impress Mourinho.
