Tottenham face fresh transfer headache after £60m raid as key cog targeted by Chinese outfit

Tottenham Hotspur ace Danny Rose is reportedly a target for Shanghai SIPG boss Andre Villas-Boas, while Harry Kane is also on their radar but is not interested in a move.

As per the Evening Standard, it’s claimed that the left-back is wanted by Shanghai, with former Spurs boss Villas-Boas keen on a reunion as he continues to bolster his squad.

It’s noted that Kane was also approached, but discussions went nowhere as the England international insisted that he has no desire to leave White Hart Lane for China.

Meanwhile, Rose is said to not be for sale, but it remains to be seen how much pressure the Chinese Super League outfit put on Spurs as ultimately the wealth available in the Far East can easily turn heads for top Premier League stars who are already on hefty wages.

Nevertheless, it looks as though Villas-Boas will be left disappointed, but it’s another headache for Spurs who are continuing to have to fend off interest in their top players.

As noted by The Sun earlier this month, Rose and fellow full-back Kyle Walker were the subject of a £60m raid from Manchester United and Manchester City, while Paris Saint-Germain are also said to have an interest in the pair.

In turn, Mauricio Pochettino will continue to have unwanted distractions, but he’ll be doubly determined to avoid losing any of his current group as they continue to push for the Premier League title.

Kane though has set the tone at White Hart Lane, as he is ultimately turning down wages that would dwarf his current earnings in order to stay at Tottenham and help the club win trophies. The England striker, Pochettino and the club hierarchy will expect the same from the rest of the first-team squad.
