Tottenham Hotspur were hoping for a straight-forward FA Cup clash with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, but their opponents had other ideas.
Paul Hayes lashed home this fantastic effort to break the deadlock at White Hart Lane, as a much-changed Spurs side have it all to do as the Wycombe captain added a second just after the half-hour mark.
However, it’s clear as to which was the pick of the goals as he showed brilliant technical ability to produce this stunning finish.
22e minuut 0-1 Wycombe uit een hoekschop. Heerlijk binnen gepeerd door Hayes. Niet best Spurs. #COYS #TOTvWYC pic.twitter.com/6JxjRkP4ug

From a Tottenham perspective, having seen Liverpool dumped out of the cup earlier on Saturday at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers who took a shock 2-0 lead into the half-time interval, it appears as though Mauricio Pochettino’s side are following a familiar path.
The Argentine tactician does have options on the bench with the likes of Dele Alli and Vincent Janssen available, but it remains to be seen if we’re about to witness another FA Cup upset.
