Chelsea transfer target Franck Kessie prefers a move to the Premier League over a switch to Roma, according to Calciomercato.
Kessie is widely considered one of the most promising midfield talents in Serie A. His powerful performances in the middle of the park for Atlanta have been comparable to Chelsea legend Michael Essien. The Ivorian could well be set to follow in the footsteps of Essien by making the switch to Stamford Bridge.
As per Calciomercato, Chelsea are interested in signing Kessie this month, but he is close to completing a move to Italian giants Roma. However, Calciomercato believes that Kessie is tempted by a move to the Premier League.
Calciomercato believe that if Chelsea are to make a move to secure Kessie’s services this month, Atlanta could demand as much as £25.6 million. Antonio Conte has merely a few days left to sign Kessie before the transfer window comes to a close.
