West Brom manager Tony Pulis scouts illustrious Chelsea veteran as he prepares to make a shock move to secure his signature

West Brom are interested in signing Chelsea veteran Branislav Ivanovic before the transfer window shuts, according to The Sun.

Ivanovic has written his name into Chelsea folklore during his time at Stamford Bridge. Since signing for the Blues in the winter of 2008, he has made 376 appearances, finding the back of the net 34 times. He has also won nine major trophies in his Chelsea career, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.

The Serb has also provided two iconic moments that will undoubtedly go down in Chelsea history. The first a stunning finish against Napoli in 2012, as the Blues completed a famous comeback. He then scored a last-minute winner in the Europa League final in Amsterdam the following season.

However, since Antonio Conte took the reigns at the Bridge in the summer, Ivanovic has found his opportunities severely limited. He could be set to leave in search of regular first-team football, and Tony Pulis could be set to offer him an escape route.

As per The Sun, Pulis is interested in bringing Ivanovic to West Brom this month. The tabloid believe that he scouted the 32-year-old during Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday, during which Ivanovic scored. West Brom need to act fast if they want to secure his services this month.
