Danny Rose injury update bad news for Tottenham Hotspur, set to miss six games including Liverpool away

The Danny Rose injury latest reported by The Sun is not good news for Tottenham Hotspur fans.

Rose has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season, with the left-back affecting games at both ends of the pitch.

Therefore, Spurs will be concerned by The Sun claiming that Rose is set to miss the whole of February.

The Sun say that Rose will undergo scans today, but Spurs apparently fear he has suffered medial ligament damage.

Should Rose stay out for the whole month, he will miss at least six games, including a Premier League trip to rivals Liverpool and both legs of Tottenham’s Europa League last-32 tie with Gent.

Spurs have a direct replacement for Rose in Ben Davies, but the Welshman is not as fast or powerful as the England international.

Furthermore, whether Spurs play 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1, Tottenham’s full-backs are expected to burn exceptional amounts of energy, so Rose’s injury is likely to put a lot of pressure on Davies, considering rotation will not be an option.

Rose picked up his knee injury in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at Sunderland. Watch highlights of that match by clicking this link.
