Liverpool vs Tottenham confirmed line-ups: Klopp makes one change but obvious weakness remains

Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday evening, with just one change being made between the two sides.

That comes courtesy of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, who brings in Georginio Wijnaldum into his midfield in place of Emre Can.

In turn, that also means that Lucas Leiva remains in the centre of the Liverpool defence, which will be a major concern for the hosts as they look to keep Harry Kane and Co. quiet.

As for the visitors, Mauricio Pochettino has made no changes to the side that beat Middlesbrough last time out, although there is a defensive concern for him too.

Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen remain sidelined, and so Eric Dier and Ben Davies continue to deputise, and especially with Sadio Mane back in the mix, it could be an area in which Liverpool try to exploit and attack Spurs down their left.

Nevertheless, both teams match up well with similar tactics and styles of play, and so while many neutrals will be hoping that it’s a thriller, there’s every chance that they could cancel each other out.

However, with so much on the line as Spurs look to keep up the pressure on Chelsea and with Liverpool desperate to get back some form after a torrid January and beyond, it will make for an intriguing encounter between the two clubs.
