Arsene Wenger has decided to leave Arsenal at the season’s end, and Alexis Sanchez could follow him out the exit door, according to the Mirror.
The issues for Wenger at the Emirates came to a head during his side’s 5-1 demolition at the hands of Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The Gunners are also ten points adrift of leaders Chelsea in the Premier League, and frustrations among the Arsenal faithful are growing by the day.
The ‘Wenger Out’ brigade could be set to get their wish. As per the Mirror, Arsenal chiefs are increasingly convinced that Wenger will call time on his Gunners career at the end of the campaign.
He may well not be the only high-profile departure at the club in the summer. The Mirror note that Sanchez could also jump ship, with both Juventus and PSG extremely interest in securing the Chilean’s services.
One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a very interesting summer at the Emirates.
