Manchester City take steps to ensure the safety of fans at the Etihad amid fears of a terrorist attack

Manchester City are set to further ensure the safety of their fans by making the Etihad Stadium bomb-proof, according to the Daily Mail.

The Etihad is one of the biggest attractions that the Premier League has to offer. City’s Colosseum can hold up to 55,000 fans, though many would argue that the club are unable to fill it consistently.

The ability to host so many of the City faithful makes it a prime target for a terrorist attack; unfortunately such is the world we are currently living it. It appears as though the club’s hierarchy have decided it’s time to take action.

Acording to the Daily Mail, City have taken several steps to decrease the likelihood of a terrorist attack on their home turf. The tabloid report that the club have banned driving directly around the stadium, and have also installed hundreds of anti-shatter glass panes at the front of the stadium.

This is, without doubt, excellent news for fans of the Premier League.
