Barcelona are interested in signing Watford defender Juanfran despite him not making an appearance for the Hornets in three years, report The Sun.
As The Sun report, Juanfran moved to Vicarage Road in the summer of 2014. The tabloid believe that Watford parted with a fee of £1.5 million to secure his services, and it hasn’t looked like anything close to a worthy investment.
Juanfran is yet to make a single appearance for Watford, but that hasn’t stopped him from being linked with one of the strangest moves of recent times.
According to The Sun, Luis Enrique is considering making a move for Juanfran to take him to Barcelona. The Sun note that Aleix Vidal has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a severe ankle injury, which leaves the Catalan giants short at the back.
With Sergi Roberto also suspended for the Copa del Rey final, Barcelona need to find a right-back from somewhere. Juanfran could well be that man.
