Chelsea have sent scouts to watch Atlanta right-back Andrea Conti ahead of a potential summer move, according to The Sun.
Conti, a product of the Atlanta academy, had two spells out on loan before being integrated into the Serie A side’s first-team squad. The 22-year-old had stints on loan with Perugia and Virtus Lanciano, where he impressed his parent side and earned himself a return to the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
He has now established himself as an important member of Atlanta’s side, and it appears to have captured the attention of one man who knows Italian football very well.
The Sun report that Chelsea have scouted Conti on numerous occasions, and are considering making a move to secure his services in the summer transfer window. The tabloid believe that he could well be available for as little as £12.8 million.
The Blues are in dire need for some competition for Victor Moses on the right-hand-side, Conti certainly fits the criteria.
