Arsenal face transfer battle with Italian giants for in-demand £36m+ wonderkid

Arsenal will reportedly have to fend off Juventus if they are to secure the signing of talented Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

The 18-year-old has quickly grabbed the attention of several European powerhouses with his performances for the Ligue 1 leaders this season.

He continued to impress after playing a starring role in Monaco’s defeat at Manchester City in the Champions League this week, taking his tallies to 12 goals and eight assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.

Arsenal were linked with a move for the youngster as early as December, but according to Bleacher Report, the Gunners will face stiff competition from Juventus for his signature.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are amongst the other English clubs to be linked with a move, while Spanish giants Real Madrid are also said to be keen.

However, at this point and according to this report, it’s between Arsenal and Juve as to where this highly-rated and extremely talented teenager goes next.

Bleacher Report add Mbappe will not be allowed to leave the French side for anything less than £36m, although that is the minimum fee set and with Anthony Martial moving to Manchester United two summers ago in a deal that could rise to over £60m, it’s expected that it will take something similar to prise Mbappe away.

The Frenchman has made an exciting and noticeable impact so far this season, and it’s clear that he has a bright future ahead of him.

Nevertheless, if he is to leave Monaco and move on this summer, his next move will be crucial as he’ll want to continue to play regular football and develop his game, and not find himself stuck down the pecking order and fighting for regular first-team football.
