Fiorentina could cash-in on former West Brom midfielder Borja Valero in the summer transfer window, report Calciomercato.

Now 32-years-old, Valero is approaching the swansong of his career – but the Spaniard still has a lot to offer. He has proved himself to be an accomplished midfielder throughout the years, including during a one-year stint with the Baggies.

Valero, who is a product of the Real Madrid academy, made 36 appearances in West Brom colours, finding the back of the net on three occasions. Nowadays, he finds himself at Fiorentina, where he has scored 15 goals and provided 35 assists in 188 appearances.

Despite his near-flawless service to the Serie A outfit, they are reportedly preparing to sell him. Calciomercato report that Fiorentina are preparing to cash-in on Valero. The Italian outlet note that they would demand a fee in the region of £7.75million in order to part with the illustrious midfielder. It remains to be seen who would be interested in securing his services.
