Everton have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to the Daily Mail.
Pickford has established himself as the Black Cats’ number one between the sticks this campaign. He has wasted no time in displaying his quality for everyone to see. Though just 22-years-old, he already has all the makings of a top goalkeeper, and is stunningly reliable for a stopper of his tender age.
His good performances at the Stadium of Light appear to have captured the attention of several of Sunderland’s Premier League counterparts. The Daily Mail report that Everton are keeping tabs on the Englishman, with Arsenal also in the running.
Ronald Koeman is building a side full of exciting young talent with the Toffees, and Pickford would fit into it like a glove. He looks as though he will be the future of the England national team, so gaining experience at a side higher up the table would do he development no harm.
