(Images) Arsenal fans embarrass themselves with ‘Wenger out’ and ‘Wenger in’ banners flown over Hawthorns

There’s a huge divide within the Arsenal support over Arsene Wenger, and the argument took to the skies during their clash with West Brom on Saturday.

As expected, the fans calling for Wenger to go followed through with their promise to fly the banner over the Hawthorns and it soon appeared.

While that was enough in itself, as the game went on another plane was heard overhead and a second banner in support of the French tactician was seen over the stadium, as seen in the tweets below.

Question marks remain over Wenger’s future at Arsenal as ultimately his current contract expires at the end of the season and there has no official word as to whether he will extend his contract or move on.

Results on the pitch haven’t supported the argument for him to stay as they have fallen short in the Champions League and Premier League title race again this season, and that has led to angry protests against the manager.

However, it appears as though he still has his backers with the two banners stealing attention from the game. Nevertheless, it’s all pretty embarrassing to see that both have had to resort to these measures as surely it will only serve to arm their rivals with ammunition to taunt and mock them further…
