(Video) No Kane no problem as Tottenham star makes it 10+ goals in three of four seasons for Spurs

Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen broke the deadlock against Southampton on Sunday as the hosts showed they can cope without Harry Kane.

The England international is sidelined with an ankle injury until late April, and there were concerns prior to kickoff at White Hart Lane this weekend as to how the team would fare without their talismanic striker.

It appears that they’re going to be alright based on the opening 45 minutes against the Saints, with Eriksen bagging this well-taken goal to make it 10+ goals in three of the four seasons he’s been in north London in all competitions.

Dele Alli doubled Tottenham’s lead ahead of half-time from the penalty spot with his 11th goal in his last 11 Premier League games as Tottenham are well on course to solidify their spot in the top four while also narrowing the gap to Premier League leaders Chelsea back down to 10 points.

Few will back them to catch Antonio Conte’s side, but it will at least keep the Blues on their toes in the weeks ahead if Spurs can keep up the pace and move away from their rivals below them.
