Mesut Ozil is reportedly available for transfer as The Telegraph claim that manager Arsene Wenger is prepared to listen to offers for the 28-year-old.
According to The Telegraph, Wenger is running out of patience with Ozil, who has yet to respond to Arsenal’s latest contract proposal.
Ozil was pictured in Istanbul last month with former Miss World contestant Amine Gulse. This lead to speculation, as cited by The Telegraph, that the pair plan to marry and are ready to spend £5m on a mansion in Turkey’s largest city.
With Ozil seemingly poised to buy property in Istanbul, local club Fenerbahce are considering offering Ozil an escape route out of Arsenal this summer, The Telegraph add.
Signing Ozil would require Fenerbahce to jump two financial hurdles.
Firstly, they must agree a transfer fee with Arsenal, who The Telegraph report will demand at least £30m for the man who cost them £42.5m in 2013.
Wages will also be a big issue, but former Gunner Robin van Persie is likely to leave Fenerbahce this summer, so say the newspaper, which would free up significant funds.
Arsenal have 11 Premier League games left, five of which are away from home.
The Gunners visit Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough, Spurs and Southampton, before a trip to Stoke’s Bet365 Stadium in May.
