Bayern Munich have named their price for Barcelona target Thiago Alcantara, according to Sport.
Thiago is a product of the illustrious La Masia academy, which has produced countless superstars through the years. He broke into the Catalan giants’ first-team squad under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola, and went on to make 101 appearances for them.
In the summer of 2013, Thiago followed Guardiola to Bayern Munich. After overcoming several serious injuries, he has finally been given the chance to showcase his talent at the Allianz Arena. His good performances for the Bundesliga heavyweights appear to have caught the eye of his former employers.
According to Sport, Barcelona are interested in taking Thiago back to his boyhood club in the summer transfer window. The Spanish outlet believe that Bayern have named their price for the Spaniard. Sport report that Bayern want an eye-watering £78million exchange for Thiago’s services. It remains to be seen whether that’s a price Barca will be prepared to pay.
