Tottenham were out to close the gap on Chelsea on Saturday at White Hart Lane, and they didn’t waste any time in doing so against Bournemouth.
Mousa Dembele opened the scoring for the home side with a close-range finish to put them in early control, and it didn’t take long before Heung-Min Son doubled his side’s lead.
Spurs have been dominant at home this season and the record looks set to improve as Bournemouth are up against it in leading a fight back.
With regards to Son, it has been a brilliant season for the South Korean international as he took his tally to 12 Premier League goals in 28 outings as he continues to play a prominent role for Mauricio Pochettino.
Meanwhile, in the bigger picture, if Tottenham are to hold on for the win, they would move to within just four points of rivals Chelsea, who are away at Manchester United on Sunday as there may well be life in the title race yet.
